Domain Registrars

    To Register .com Domains

or most other domain name extensions for that matter, GoDaddy is the provider I use. It has the best user or admin panel. Transferring sold or purchased domain names is simple.

Here is a great site I use to get all the live GoDaddy promo codes Promo Codes … a .com domain registration fee from a reputable company for $6.95 is tough to beat.

They call themselves the World’s #1 Webhost - 1&1 Internet Inc.

Enom Domain registration is yet another registrar…and there are many more.

To Register .ca Domains - CIRA certified

Namespro.ca - Register your domains for $12.88 CDN.
Lowest price in Canada. Click here.

namespro.ca $12.88
DomainsatCost $12.95

Namespro is the cheapest for .CA domain name registrations, (April 2008), c/w a user friendly control panel is my first choice. The DomainsatCost panel is a little confusing and for me time is money so bouncing around different control panels is not how I would prefer to spend my time. The quicker we get the task done the better.

Domain tips

Manage your domains. Find a good registrar and try to keep all of your domains names with as few registrars as possible. This can be challenging if you own numerous domains with multiple extensions but sticking with less than three can really eliminate headaches or dropped names.

Domain management is a challenge for anyone with a large number of domain names under their umbrella. Just how do you keep track of which registrars your domains are registered with? Which email addresses are in use as the site contact? Which name-servers are used by which domains? And probably priority one is when the names due to expire? GoDaddy is great as they notify you months in advance as to when your name is about to expire, however if you are looking for something more robust to protect, organize, track and manage your domain names look at Watch My Domains Pro - this suite is not free but does exactly that.

One of the ideas we had for DomainProtege.com was to develop it into a domain name monitoring software suite.

DNZoom did something similar so if warrants, finding a software suite that will help you simplify management is worth pursuing. Try DNZoom it is bit cumbersome but has some good features.
